1. IDENTIFICATION OF PROJECT

Tirana, the capital of Albania composed of 700 000 inhabitants, is yearly traversed by a partial cultural activity, concentrated during wintertime. Considering the conditions and social-economic developments in Albania and the great mission of "public service" of art, it is clear that these two accessories do not fit each-other in:
1. Art coming to the whole public, this phenomenon would bring new social visions to the social impact.
2. The concrete possibility at work, that means appeasing a big social problem like employing the artists not only in contract with state structures but also the new operating generation in all art genres who results unemployed.
Based on these two great social problems and also on the perspective of these relations in our society which would push forward into the normal life and it would create premises of a balanced social coexistence, so appeared the idea of Summer Nights.





2. PROJECT PURPOSE

The project aims as below:

· Invigoration of the Albanian life, during summer getting out of conformity cultural Albanian institutions.
· Launching all genres of Albanian culture out of existing structures.
· To improve the Albanian image which offers to its inhabitants the view of a social- territorial-chaos so far.
· Making the appropriate conditions for launching of local power coordinating with central cultural institutions, non governmental cultural organisms, focusing on:
a) Launching the image of capital, a decisive factor in developing and launching of existing business and investments abroad.
b) Mitigation a great social problem, like vocational employment, in a long term including the phase of project.
This project not only would effect with a concrete possibility for job of all kinds of artists in person or in groups but also would open job vacancies for the staff of technical problems in these areas:
· Working with executive committee.
· Composing the program of activity.
· Marketing
· Settling times and places of the activities, and defining the supporting technical structures.
· Advertising, etc.


3. PROJECT PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

During the period May-September 2004 organized by NGO Moving Culture in collaboration with Ministry of Culture,
Municipality of Tirana, Delta Publicity and Radio Oxygen, a lot of artistic - cultural activities will take place at the square in front of ICC. As a support of these activities during this period will be installed an enormous screen 54 m2 where movies, performances, sports will be shown,
and another one 12 mē for slide shows. The considered performances concern with:

· UEFA Euro 2004 June
· JUNE 1 st FEST CHILDRENS DAY
· Tirana Jazz Festival June 5 th - 11 th
· Showing Albanian short movies and foreign movies for adults;
· Tourist documentaries;
· Information from Internet for sport art and culture;
· Ballet and performance; · Painting and installation (art peace's from the young artists of the Academy of Arts);
· Live concerts of modern and folk music.
The Venetian tents, besides the promotional will carry on these activities:
· BBQ;
· Consulting for family planning;
· Social marketing;
· Campaign against drugs;
