Michel Bourdoncle was born in Marseille in 1960. He began his musical studies in Aix-en-Provence with Jacqueline Courtin and Bernard Flavigny.
He continued at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where he won the First Prize for Chamber Music and for Piano in the classes of Geneviève Joy and Dominique Merlet. He entered then the Chamber Music’ class of Jean Hubeau in 1981 and become accompanists of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In 1986, Michel Bourdoncle got a scholarship to study at the Tchaikovski Conservatoire in Moscow in the classes of Samvil Alumian and Lev Naoumov. In this same year, he was the prize winner of the Liszt Competition in Utrecht. Since then, Michel Bourdoncle is currently pursuing a triple career as a Concert Pianist, a teacher at the Darius Milhaud Conservatoire in Aix-en-Provence and an Artistic Director. He created the International Festival “Les Nuits Pianistiques” which takes place every year in Aix-en-Provence and often serves as a judge in the competitions of the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs and in various International Competitions. Michel Bourdoncle won the medal of the City of Aix-en-Provence and the medal of the National Assembly for his artistic activity and for the creation of “Les Nuits Pianistiques”. In 2006, he created the “International Pianistical Academy” of Aix-en-Provence.Michel Bourdoncle has performed in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Romania, Moldavia, Russia, Poland, USA, Brazil, China and Japan with fine French and foreign orchestras including: Le Nouvel Orchestre Philharmonique, l’Orchestre Pro Arte de Paris, l’Orchestre de Cannes-Région-Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, l4orchestre Lyrique de Région Avignon Provence, l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Montpellier, l’Ensemble Musique Vivante, l’Orchestre Symphonique du Rhin, l’Orchestre Colonne, l’Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse, l’Orchestre du Nord-Portugal, l’Orchestre de Saragosse, l’Orchestre de Baden-Baden, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Rotterdam, l’Orchestre de Chambre de la radio de Bucarest, la Philharmonie de Brasov, l’Orchestre d’Etat de Russie, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Harbin, l’Orchestre de Chambre de Salzburg, “Serena Mozart Players”, l’Orchestre Symphonique de Madère… |
